White shirt’s art

Anne Fontaine and her husband founded their eponymous brand in 1993. Her idea was as ingenious as it was unusual: to create a universe around the white shirt. The Franco-Brazilian designer produced her first models in her in-laws’ factory and soon opened a boutique in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The materials multiplied, the cuts varied and the success became international. More than twenty years after its creation, Anne Fontaine continues to promote French minimalist elegance.
