The art of the white shirt

Anne Fontaine founded her eponymous brand in 1993 with her husband. Her idea was as ingenious as it was unusual: to create a world around the white shirt. The Franco-Brazilian designer produced her first designs in her in-laws' factory and quickly opened a boutique in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The range of fabrics expanded, the cuts varied, and the brand became an international success. More than twenty years after its creation, Anne Fontaine continues to promote French minimalist elegance.
