Anne Fontaine founded her eponymous brand with her husband in 1993. Her idea was as ingenious as it was unexpected: to create an entire world around the white shirt. The Franco-Brazilian designer produced her first designs in her in-laws’ factory before quickly opening a boutique in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris. Fabrics multiplied, silhouettes evolved, and the brand soon gained international recognition. More than thirty years later, Anne Fontaine continues to embody the timeless elegance of French minimalist style.
