It was at the prestigious Parsons School of Design that Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez first met. In 2002, the two designers founded their ready-to-wear fashion house, naming it after their respective mothers’ maiden names. Proenza Schouler sold its very first collection in its entirety to Barneys, and the brand quickly became synonymous with the effortless, charismatic style of New York women.
